Dear Future 224 Laurel Avenue Homeowner,

From the moment we stepped foot inside this home, that’s what it felt like. Home. There is a calming, happy energy about this place. Everyone who has visited us has felt it. This was the site of so many fantastic memories – Thanksgivings, birthdays, game nights. We even hosted a wedding here once. This has always been the gathering place amongst our friends. Because there is something welcoming about these walls. This space has an energy of happiness and refuge at the end of a long day.

When we first moved in, it was a blank canvas to create what we wanted. We’ve added our touches and given it the necessary TLC. But even more than that, we wanted to create a gathering place. Somewhere our friends could come to laugh and drink and have fun. So we put even more love and attention into our backyard, to essentially make it an extension of our house. Aside from all of the obvious perks of living in Maplewood (the schools, the parks, the bars and restaurants, the proximity to the city) and aside from all the updates we’ve done that you’ve already read about (the roof, the furnace, water heater, sump pump, new garage, and new toilet yay!), we are proud of the home we have created amongst our community. And our hope is that you find the same connections and friendships that we have forged in our time here.

This town is a charming hamlet. And this home is a sweet jewelry box. We hope you feel the same energy we felt when we turned the key and entered it ten years ago. A place where people gather and create lifelong memories and steadfast connections.
