Dear Future Homeowners

When this house went on the market, 3 doors down from where our siblings lived, we felt like it was too good to be true. We settled into our new life in Maplewood with a 2-year old and slowly made the house our own. Our daughter was born a year later and by then the kids had cousins on the same street! Walking the children to Memorial Park to play, to the duck pond, or into town for ice cream became part of our everyday routine. The community here cannot be beat - from Maplewoodstock to movies in the park or town-wide street fairs, we had our weekends full with friends and family for the last 10 years. Things shifted during the pandemic, and our memories really began to focus on our house and yard and local outdoor spots - we are so grateful for our deck movie nights, fire-pit s'mores and especially the trampoline! Having the South Mountain Reservation up the road gave us many hours of outdoor enjoyment and happiness during a very difficult time.

Deck: This is an extension of our living space in spring, summer & fall. It is private and you feel like you are in a treehouse from it. We love cooking, eating and watching movies out there!.

Kwanzan Cherry blossom tree: It always blooms in the last week of April and is so gorgeous people stop by daily to take photos.

Backyard/ fire pit area: An addition during the pandemic - we love being outside and extending our outdoor space was really important!

Steam heat: There is nothing better than steam heat - the whole house is so warm and we gather around the cozy heaters, it is a morning tradition in winter! 

3rd floor office: Another pandemic addition - a perfect work from home or virtual yoga space. 

Street/Neighborhood: We never get tired of walking down our street, it is beautiful. Great neighbors and gorgeous houses. Our walk to town is 10 minutes, 7 minutes to the train, 5 minutes to tennis/pickleball/Memorial Park playground. We love having only one car due to our location. 

Storage space: Ample storage space in both the attic.

And the basement. Walk-out to backyard: mud room area, walk out under the deck into the backyard. Basement: Dry - never gets water (no water during Hurricane Ida!); full footprint of house, high ceilings perfect for finishing! Driveway: extended in April 2021 - can fit 3 cars! Wood burning fireplace: we love gathering around the fireplace for family game night.
