At Pollock Properties Group, we believe in the power of giving back. Our mission goes beyond helping you buy or sell your home; it extends to making a positive impact on our community. We value you as a client and want to ensure that your sale goes smoothly to your complete satisfaction AND helps the world a little bit too. After the successful closing of your home, rather than buying you another knick-knack, flowers or a bottle of wine for a closing gift, we will make a small donation to the charity of your choice, so that your helps your favorite cause. Simply tell us the charity of your choice and we will let you know that the donation has been processed.
How It Works
For every real estate transaction we close, we donate to a charity of our clients’ choice. It's that simple. Whether you're buying or selling a home, you can feel good knowing that your real estate transaction is contributing to a meaningful cause.

We’ve partnered with several impactful local and different charities that are doing incredible work in our community, but we want to donate where YOU are passionate. When you close with us, so just tell us your choice and we’ll make a donation on your behalf.
Why It Matters
We believe that spreading generosity makes a difference. We also know that children who are taught about giving back become more generous adults, suffer from less depression and experience greater meaning in life. We hope that you will use the choosing of your charity as a conversation starter during family dinner that sparks generosity in the next generation!

HERE ARE SOME NATIONAL NON PROFIT IDEAS:
The ALS Association is an American nonprofit organization that raises money for research and patient services, promotes awareness about and advocates in state and federal government on issues related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Heifer International is a global nonprofit working to eradicate poverty and hunger through sustainable, values-based holistic community development.
The Save the Children Fund commonly known as Save the Children, is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries. It was established in the United Kingdom in 1919 in order to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunity.
Feeding America is a United States-based nonprofit organization that is a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks that feed more than 46 million people through food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other community-based agencies.
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is the largest LGBT civil rights advocacy group and political lobbying organization in the United States. The organization focuses on protecting and expanding rights for LGBT individuals, most notably advocating for marriage equality, anti-discrimination and hate crimes legislation, and HIV/AIDS advocacy.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars is a national association of veterans, who as soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen served the U.S. in wars, campaigns, and expeditions on foreign soil or hostile waters.

The National Bail Out collective is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration. We are people who have been impacted by cages — either by being in them ourselves or witnessing our families and loved ones be encaged. We are queer, trans, young, elder, and immigrant.
Wounded Warrior Homes provides Post 9-11 active duty combat veterans who are battling Post-Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury with quality transitional housing and comprehensive support services. They fought for our freedom, now it is time we fight for theirs.
HERE ARE SOME LOCAL NON PROFIT IDEAS:
ACHIEVE FOUNDATION’S POLLOCK ARTS INITiATIVE (formerly know as the Vanessa Pollock Music Initiative) fund helps underwrite instrument and arts equipment rentals at the elementary and middle school levels to eliminate financial barriers to student participation in arts programming, supplements Achieve Foundation funding of teacher grant requests for arts-related projects, and may be used to help maintain the district’s inventory of musical instruments and other arts-related equipment and supplies. Through the Initiative, scholarship awards for advanced training may be offered to Columbia High School students who demonstrate exceptional talent and are recommended by SOMSD music and arts department faculty. Awards are tailored to students’ specific needs for private instruction, classes and/or professional quality instruments/art equipment. Donate to PAI.
ISAIAH HOUSE has been a community fixture since 1988. The mission is to reduce the prevalence of homelessness, hunger and unemployment throughout Essex County and more specifically, within the Oranges and Newark. Isaiah House remains the only shelter in East Orange and provides temporary and permanent lodging, food, social and financial services, as well as comfort and hope for families and individuals every year. Isaiah House offers a variety of support services to family members, including life skills training, instructions in household and money management, job search assistance, tutoring, medical referrals, and on-site drug and alcohol support groups.
The WAREHOUSE NJ was founded in June 2019. It is a simple model, where we collect gently used furniture, decor and household items from the surrounding communities and store those items until they are ready to be used. In the first year, we created relationships with many wonderful organizations who provide The Warehouse NJ with clients who are transitioning into new apartments. These families and individuals have been living in temporary housing for months/years and have been given a Section 8 voucher to move into a new apartment or home. The Warehouse NJ helps these families have a chance to start again.
JESPY House is a nonprofit organization that enables adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to achieve their full potential and lead independent lives. The philosophy of JESPY is to promote choice, self-direction and independent community living for our clients. It provides a variety of support services to men and women who are age 18 and older. Clients must demonstrate the desire to live independently, acquire additional life skills, and engage in either volunteer or employment opportunities.
GARDEN STATE EQUALITY lifts up the diverse voices of LGBTQ+ communities through education and advocacy to advance the movement for equality in New Jersey and nationally. We work tirelessly to ensure the communities we serve experience lived equality. Garden State Equality is the largest LGBTQ+ advocacy organization in New Jersey, with over 150,000 members. Established in 2004, we are now one of the most successful statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organizations in the nation.
BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS is the philanthropic heart of Broadway, helping people across the country and across the street receive lifesaving medications, health care, nutritious meals, counseling and emergency financial assistance. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the single largest financial supporter of the essential social service programs at the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), including the HIV/AIDS Initiative, the Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative and The Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts. We also award annual grants to more than 450 AIDS and family service organizations nationwide.
