Dear Future Homeowners,
We know how exciting it can be to search for your dream home, and we hope that 10 Park Road is that perfect fit for you as it has been for us. When we first laid eyes on this charming 1920s house, we knew that we had found our forever home. However, as life would have it, we are relocating out of state to be closer to family, which means that we now must reluctantly say goodbye to this wonderful home and neighborhood.
For us, 10 Park Road has been more than a house - it's part of a tight-knit community and feels very connected to everything that makes Maplewood special. The location of our home is truly unique and offers everything we could have ever wanted in a family home. One of the most important things to us was proximity to the train, which is 6 minutes away. It's situated across the street from Memorial Park, just a short walk away from Maplewood village, and it’s surrounded by friendly and welcoming neighbors who feel like extended family. From the easy stroller walks to the Memorial Park pond, to meeting other parents during our daily visits to the nearby playground, to Saturday morning coffees and pastries at Able Baker, to the neighborhood block parties, Park Road text threads, and nearby town-wide events like Maplewoodstock and the Halloween Parade, there's always something to do nearby and a strong sense of community here.
The kitchen is truly the heart of the home, with an additional flex-space that can be used as an eat-in kitchen or family room. Opening up to the deck, the kitchen is the perfect indoor/outdoor space for entertaining – we’ve enjoyed so many memorable events with family and friends here, including our daughter’s first birthday and many family cookouts. The living room comfortably fits a large sectional, perfect for hosting friends and family or just relaxing and watching TV. The sunroom is a bright and private space that can be used in a variety of ways, including an office or a playroom. And the bedrooms upstairs are comfortable and spacious, with large windows and lovely views of Park Road, the backyard, and the park.
Outside, the garden is a beautiful oasis that “Springs” to life in April with peonies, hydrangea, roses, and other native plants for people and pollinators to enjoy. We've also had a custom fence made to match the neighboring fence, equipped with both pedestrian and vehicle gates.
We've made several updates and upgrades while still striving to preserve the original 1920s charm. Last year, we renovated the basement into an upgraded and functional space, complete with a luxurious laundry room with brand new LG washer/dryer, flexible main living space, full bath, storage closets. We also outfitted the utility room with a new hot water heater, repaired the boiler, and installed French Drains and a sump pump with a back-up battery system. The new smart light switches, Nest thermostat, and U-Tech fingerprint smart locks have been very useful to us.
We hope that you'll love this home as much as we have, and we know that you'll appreciate the deep sense of community that comes with it. From sipping coffee while enjoying the "borrowed view" of Maplewood Memorial Park, to cooking dinner with family in the light-filled kitchen, to cocktails and barbeques on the deck, to living near some of the kindest and warmest people we know, there's so much to love about this home. And we're excited for what you'll do with the unfinished space on the third floor! We can't wait for you to experience all that 10 Park Road and Maplewood have to offer.
Warmly,

Property Overview
Foyer/ Entry
Living Room
The living room is perfectly suited for a pillowy family sectional and is an inviting gathering place for friends and family. Bright and airy, this room gets natural light from three sides plus added recessed lights which are on “smart” switches that you can control from an app.
Dining Room
Wonderful, well laid out, well lit, and sizable.
Kitchen &
Butler’s Pantry
This kitchen is an amazing space. First, the view! The windows are really incredible and allow you to tap into the morning rhythm of the Maplewood community: commuters hustling to catch the train which is just a six-minute walk from the front door, students walking to school, and, of course, Maplewood dogs taking their morning walks.
The unobstructed view of Maplewood Memorial Park is unique to 10 Park, dubbed the “borrowed view" by a lineage of prior homeowners.
The glass cabinets in the butler's pantry are the perfect place to display those dishes you splurged on and the cabinets underneath offer incredible bonus storage! The counter is spacious enough to serve guests every kind of drink.
Sunroom
The fully heated sunroom offers classic Maplewood 1920s vibes with mature, evergreen privacy shrubs out front and great windows & light. It's super family friendly while retaining the elegant feel of an old-fashioned living room.
Family Room
Attached to the kitchen is a great family room or eat-in area that opens up to the back deck.
From April to October when the weather is good, the kitchen and the deck are like one big space that can host brunches or BBQs, moving easily between the kitchen and the deck.
Primary Bedroom
The big primary bedroom has plenty of room for king size bed, a comfy armchair or two, and more. The new carpet is cozy and cushy, but the wood floors underneath are stunning as well.

Outdoor Space
Amazing garden with Peonies, Montauk Daisies, Hydrangea, Roses, and more. This garden is special and charming in Spring, Summer, and Fall. Sprinkler system keeps the lawn beautiful and plants healthy. Birds, especially cardinals, equally love this beautiful oasis.
Maplewood Memorial Park and Playground, with its tennis courts, sports fields, and playground are like an extension of the backyard. The proximity to these spaces makes it incredibly easy to meet friends by simply walking out the front door (without loading your toddler or your dog into the car!).
From 10 Park Road you can enjoy an after dinner walk in the park or walk to welcome friends and family off the train and give them a tour of the cutest downtown.
